Terms of Service

By accessing or using the Greensboro New Schoolwebsite (the “Site”) or any online service we provide, you agree to these Terms of Service (the “Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

If you are using the Site on behalf of a family or child, you confirm that you have the authority to accept these Terms for the family members listed in your account.

Greensboro New School is a 2012-founded 501(c)(3) nonprofit preschool located at 304 S. Elam Avenue, Greensboro, NC 27403. References to “we,” “us,” or “our” in these Terms mean Greensboro New School.

You agree to use the Site only for lawful purposes. You will not:

• Use the Site in a way that could harm, disable, or impair it.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site, to other accounts, or to our systems.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Scrape, harvest, or otherwise collect personal information about other users or our staff.
• Use the Site to send unsolicited communications or to misrepresent your identity.

Some features of the Site (including registration, signing documents, and managing payments) require a family account. When you create an account, you agree to:

• Provide accurate, current information.
• Keep your password confidential and notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.
• Be responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

We may suspend or close accounts that violate these Terms or that show signs of unauthorized use.

Submitting an application or registration through the Site does not guarantee enrollment. Enrollment is offered at our discretion based on space, age cohort, and program fit. Specific enrollment terms, tuition rates, and refund policies are provided to families separately at the time of admission.

Tuition and other payments processed through the Site are handled by third-party providers, including QuickBooks Online for invoicing and accounting. By making a payment, you agree to the terms of those providers in addition to these Terms.

Late, declined, or disputed payments may result in additional fees or interruption of services, as described in your enrollment agreement.

All text, photographs, graphics, logos, and other materials on the Site are the property of Greensboro New School or our licensors and are protected by copyright and trademark laws. You may view and print pages from the Site for personal, non-commercial use. You may not otherwise copy, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

If you submit content to us (for example, photos uploaded to a family profile or comments left on a form), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use that content for the purposes of operating and improving our programs.

The Site links to and integrates with third-party services we use to operate the school (such as Supabase for authentication and data storage, Resend for transactional email, and QuickBooks Online for billing). We are not responsible for the practices of those third parties. Their use of your information is governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, about the accuracy, reliability, or availability of the Site. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Information on the Site is provided for general informational purposes and is not a substitute for medical, legal, educational, or other professional advice.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Greensboro New School and its directors, employees, and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Site, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms will not exceed one hundred dollars (US $100).

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Site at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) will survive.

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Material changes will be communicated through the Site or by email. Your continued use of the Site after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute relating to these Terms or your use of the Site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Guilford County, North Carolina, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
